like where did it come from i was literally doing a silly little art and craft

The firm and deeply-held fear that if I’m getting to make progress on a fun craft or read a book that there must be some responsibility I am failing at.

nothing gives me more peace than knowing that love will come back to me in many ways and different forms. i may have no idea what the future holds for me but at least there will be love. & a lot of it

it’s amazing how ordinary objects can become so significant to only the owner

when my aunt’s best friend passed away, my younger brother was four years old. at his funeral, my brother went up to her and gave her a nickel. he told her very solemnly that it would make her feel better. she smiled for the first time in days, and tucked it in her wallet.

when my brother was 22, his best friend passed away unexpectedly. my aunt drove three hours to be there for him at the funeral. she went up to my brother, gave him a big hug, and then gave him a nickel. it was the same nickel; she had kept it in her wallet for 18 years, and now it’s on a necklace that he never takes off.

what i’m trying to say is that the love you put into the world will always find its way back to you.

no lie i genuinely believe brands are so behind the pleather movement bc they can just buy cheap plastic sell it as expensive ‘vegan leather’ and be ready for you to return in a couple years to buy another 'vegan peeta approved™ leather jacket’ bc they last like 5 minutes compared to the way leather lasts decades all the while you can pat yourself and coorporate’s back for being sutainable all the while pvc (what some fake leather products are made of) has been labeled the single most environmentally damaging type of plastic and while there are non pvc fake leathers such as pu leather… its not like thats much better producing plastic pollutes and the second your pleather clothes start to breakdown (which happens much faster than you think) theyll wound up on landfills for at least a 100 years…

I’m so extremely serious when I say doctors should be put through an extremely extensive reliscensing process every 10 years. Doctors should have their knowledge scrutinized against current medical research and be de-barred at even the tiniest discrepancy. Too many old doctors absolutely refuse to stay up to date on research and dismiss patients because of their personal experiences. Too many people die every year because doctors don’t take us seriously and refuse to listen to people who KNOW something is wrong. Too many people are told their problems are nothing and come back in a year or more with serious illnesses and doctors are just like “lol everyone makes mistakes” but doctors mistakes routinely cost people their lives! I’m tired of medical malpractice being swept away under the guise of “mistakes were made.”

If lawyers have to take 20-30 hours of continuing law education classes every single year, doctors should have to go through a reliscencing process every 10.

And for the love of all that is holy, “continuing education” provided by drug companies SHOULD NOT COUNT.
